Transportation in Amsterdam
Hi
Am planning to visit Amsterdam next week. Am going to visit Keukenhof to see the tulips. Also taking some walking tours. All the tours start near central station. My hotel is the Banks mansion which is in the eastern canal ring. Can anyone tell me the best way to get to the tours from my hotel? Tram? Taxi? And how long It would take?
Thanks

From the hotel website: From the Amsterdam central train station: Take tram 16 or 24. Get out of the tram at the fourth stop, the 'Keizersgracht'. Then walk 50 metres back in the direction the tram came from, and you will see the hotel on the right corner off the canal.
It is walkable too. Don't waste money on a taxi. Get an OV kaart for the number of days of your stay from the GVB opposite Centraal station and use the tram as suggested. trams run 8 times an hour Monday to Saturday and 6 times an hour on Sunday.
