HELP! Bed & Breakfast in Cinque Terre
Hi,
My partner & I are going to Cinque Terre in late October this year (29 Oct - 1 Nov) and I have heard about the flooding last October and that some places are closed and I also have received recommendations to book early for accommodation as it does get booked out quickly. We have managed to book into one of the B&B for 30th & 31st Oct but are finding it extremely difficult to find a place for the 29th Oct?!? Is there something going on that I am not aware of or am I leaving it really late to book a place considering I'm booking 5 months ahead of time? I have contacted literally 10 places and they are all FULL on the 29th October? HELP! |
We are going to be there at the same time...I will watch your post with interest as we to have not booked anything. Thought there was pleanty of time.

Forgot to mention that we are staying in Vernazza which was largely affected by the floods and have found trying to get accommodation difficult in that town.

I just checked that dates, and there are B&B..
Try those widjets (first 3 better): http://cinqueterre.a-turist.com/hotels.php And you will find the best price. Good luck ;) |
Considering its popularity, Vernazza has relatively few places to stay. Late October is not the most crowded so you should be able to find accommodations. However, we always book as far in advance as possible because the B&Bs and hotels are not plentiful and are not large. Monterossa has more possibilities if you can't find something for the 29th in Vernazza.

I always use this website to search B&B's for Italy as it gives you direct contact to the B&B or their website. It's not a reseller like many websites. It also lets you send a blanket request for a town/area and the owners will contact you with what is available or specials.
http://www.bed-and-breakfast-in-ital...bb_liguria.cfm You can also search by province or town. Their map features are nice for pinpointing all the B&B's for location. http://www.bed-and-breakfast-in-ital..._la_spezia.cfm |
Check La Mala in Vernazza. They are located in an area that should not have been damaged by the floods.
