Help - I'm having trouble buying train tickets on sncf.com
I want to but a train ticket online with sncf from Paris to Tours. I will pay now & pick it up in France but it doesn't seem to allow US residents to do that. Am I doing something wrong or can't it be done? Help!

Morgan's guide is pretty thorough, but you are obviously not following directions. It does allow you to do it with no problem. As for the putting in France, that should be obvious as that box at the beginning is not labeled "what country are you a resident of". It is clearly labeled what country to you intend to collect the tickets in.

Yeah, just put FRANCE in as the country where you'll collect the tickets, and no problem. Then, when you arrive in France, go to the ticket window (allow yourself at least a half-hour) and pick up the ticket =- print out the confirmation and bring the same credit card you used to buy the ticket online with.

it looks as thought the link I attempted to post takes you to my posts ... but if you click on my name 'katzen' and go down to the 7th one .. you'll see MorganB's post regarding purchasing tickets off of the sncf.com site.

Hi Sk,
Leave France as the country.
If you find a PREMS fare, you can print your ticket at home.
Otherwise, bring your confirmation and the same ticket to any train station or SNCF boutique in Paris and get your ticket
OR
Have your ticket mailed to you c/o your hotel.
You can buy tickets as early as 60 days in advance - 90 days for some trains.
