hope we get together SOON. any plans in the making?

Hi, lin :) I had a lot of plans but they all went wrong. I was supposed to go to Lisbon in September..but can't do it..I was supposed to go to Rome next weekend..but is also cancelled . Last week I was in Valencia with my father at the Clinico for a visit, and come here just after that because he doesn't fell very well. We have to go back October 23 for a visit with the
anaesthetist ...he's going to have surgery, a triple by-pass, but we still don't know the date of the surgery so we are a bit on stand-by and I don't want to leave my parents alone. In addition, I'm still with my pressure very low and also going to visit doctors...so I'm rather blue these days. Anyway, if you want to meet tell me and I will do my best to meet you :)

my goodness. so sorry your father has to have surgery, but how fortunate there are good solutios to these previously life-threatening problems.

my father is also VERY ill ( just got back from another two weeks with him and am going off again soon to help my mom).

however, the clinico is near my husband´s office and i hope to be of some support to you when your dad comes next time or when you are here for his operation.

a nice place to eat near the clinico is up two blocks towards primado reig, on the corner of bachiller, called.. DON BLASCO.
the owner is not smiley at all.. but the food is good and right price for menu fo the day. ( the waiters are o.k.)

get better, and tell me when you are coming next.. i am not sure i will be here the 23rd, but if something else comes up.. let me know.

I have been looking for food festivals in the area (we just had the vindimia in the Penedés and the mushrooom harvest was just a week ago!) to maybe plan a day trip or something. But, if a late October day in Barcelona appeals to either of you (Patri, ya sé, depende de ti y de tu familia, que espero que todo salga bien), I am on it.

Well, we should go to the asparagus festival, then. I think that is coming up in November.
