Hello everybody, need help when you go to Sardinia?
Hello everybody,
i run my own little blog about Sardinia: http://mysardinia.com/ If you guys need any help with your next trip to Sardinia please let me know. Ciao! |
Our ship will be in Olbia in November for 6 hours. Any suggestions as to what we can do? Should we hire a guide to see the island and if so can you recommend one? What are the major sites we should see?
Thank you. |
Hello,
unfortunately in 6 hrs you won't be able to do much so i suggest to stick around Olbia and visit the Historic Center of the city (centro storico). I suggeste to go visit: . chiesa di S.Simplicio (church) . acquedotto romano (roman . museo archeologico nazionale (Archeological museum) . resti mura e cisterne puniche (Punic walls and holding tanks) . le antiche navi romane (Roman cargo ships- which are by the Port). I hope this helps. Ciao MySardinia.com |
Hi - What is the best way to fly from New York City to Sardinia? I am considering a week in Sardinia (Hotel Castello) for my June 2010 honeymoon and then some time in Tuscany.
|
I think you can fly to London or Milan mlpensa and then catch and EASYJET flight to Olbia or cagliari.

Thank you! Also, your site is great, I've been checking it out.

Hello,
We'd like to visit Sardinia next August for a week. Do you have any recommendations on family friendly hotels (ie pool, buffets, etc.) or good rental apartments/houses? Also, what parts of the island are best with kids in terms of beaches, accessibility and beauty, as well as some sights for my husband and me? Thanks so much! |
There are lots of things that you can discover in Sardinia. If you look into our site, there are many entries there that talk about possible areas you can visit. For first timers, I suggest you take available tours around the capital and other parts of the island. That way, you get the lay of the land before you do your own DIY vacation. To be frank, I only take my kids in the more populated and gentrified beaches. I don't recommend going to isolated and deserted beaches because they tend to be dangerous to those who are inexperienced. I mean that by way of safety and not being able to find help within the vicinity should something happen. Otherwise, just stick going around the city streets or follow an experienced guide.
