Helicopter over Venice

Has anyone taken a helicopter ride over Venice? I just came across a mention of this company -

Sounds an interesting experience ...

It doesn't look like it's really a ride "over Venice" but almost entirely over the Lagoon and islands. I think you'd be moving pretty fast to cover the distances.

Yuck! Why spoil Venice with the noise? The place is so small and buildings are so tight, what is there to see from the sky that Google Satellite can't provide? Venice isn't Maui. Venice is best seen on a boat. I never did find Italy's rooftops all that exciting.

We all need exercise. If you want to see rooftops, climb up the various towers that are open to the public.

The noise of a helicopter hovering overhead is perhaps the most irritating I have ever known. If I heard one over Venezia, I would wish fervently for it to fly away or crash into the sea. The best way to get to know the city is on foot.

I tend to agree - a helicopter over Venice seems all kinds of wrong. If you really want to see Italy from above, check out the Visions of Italy DVD set.
