Heidelburg Help

HI:

Anybody have any info on B&B's in or around Franskfurt and Heidelburg (Germany?

If you do we'd really appreciate any info you could pass on to us. We're only staying one night and we'd like to find a decent B&B preferably in Heidelburg or also in Frankfurt.

Thanks

John

For the best Heidelburg experience stay at the Hotel Zum Ritter near the center of town. Great food also which is rare in Germany!

I agree with John. In Heidelburg stay at the Zum Ritter. It is part of the Romantik Hotel & Restaurant group. The hotel was built around 1592 and was the only structure in Heidelburg to survive the seiges of the French generals Melac and de Lorges. It is centrally located, close to the University and the castle.

From the roof garden, you have an incomparable view of the old city, the castle, the Holy Ghost Church, and the Rathaus.

I would recommend the Zur Backmulde in Heidelberg. Stayed there in June. 2nd time. Close to all the sights and not as expensive as the Zum Ritter. Rooms have recently been re-done and breakfast is also good. Tel 01149622153630 or fax at 011496221536660. Less than $100 per night double. Plus, the food in Germany is great. We go there all the time.

If you 're only going to be there one night, the Zum Ritter is the place to stay. We were in a street-side room on the third (European second) floor and could enjoy all the passing sights and walk to everything. It cost more but was worth it. Restaurant was very good too.
