Heathrow to Bayswater??
 

Arriving at Heathrow Terminal 1 055 am, what is the best way to travel to Bayswater
Tube or Heathrow Connect? What is the routes including transfers? Is this trip going to be jammed with commuters?

I would guess for my wife and I, we won't be concerned about getting there super fast as it will be very early in the am. Thank you.

Cheapest and not necessarily all that slower than Heathrow Connect is:

Picadilly line train from Heathrow to Hammersmith
At Hammersmith get off the Picadilly line train walk across the platform and take the first District line train that arrives
Third stop is Earls Court...get off there walk across the platform and wait for the District line train marked Edgeware Road
Three stops to Bayswater station

If you're arriving on a weekday you'll be in the peak period...fare will be peak period fare from zone 6 to zone 1 although you might have other options such as a 7 day zone 1 & 2 travelcard with an extension ticket...if bought at Heathrow, both will be on an oyster card and somebody here will carry on how that is not what you want to do because of certain discounts available if you buy other ticketing media but I'll leave that to them...I get tired of all these discussions of those 2 for 1's.

I've done this trip countless times...Bayswater is where I hang out when I'm in London....it's really not a bad way to go....with the change at Hammersmith you will only have a short flight of stairs to negotiate at Bayswater station.

Well not the cheapest but the easiest,especially if you are not familiar with the tube or LOndon. Justairport private door to door shuttle is cheaper for 2 people than taking the HEX and a taxi from Paddington to Bayswater

XYZ - Doesn't Picadilly make a stop at Earls Ct? I look at the Tube map and it looks like it does. Then again.......

I'd strongly recommend a carservice--we used justairports last summer for transport from LHR to the Bayswater area (our B&B was a 5 minute walk from the Bayswater Tube stop). Before we had ridden the Tube from LHR to a B&B in Belgravia. The reason we opted for car service last summer was because we didn't want to make the Tube transfers with rolling luggage&backpacks that are required to get from LHR to Bayswater. I now will only recommend the Tube if the final destination is within walking distance from a stop along the Picadilly line (which Bayswater is not). Otherwise it's well worth the justairports price to avoid the line transfers (plus the convenience of being met at airport and delivered exactly to door and no luggage schlepping--and pickup for return trip also easy!)

To each his or her own. Dong the transfers at Hammersmith and then Earls Court is simply across the platform...if you have a rolling suit case and hand luggage it's a piece of cake....and under certain circumstances that is if your intention is to buy a 7 day zone 1 & 2 oyster travelcard, the cost for the extension ticket is as little as 2 quid. But it is true that if you have a whole bunch of luggage tubing in from Heahtorw might not be the best thing but for most people, it shouldn't present that much of a problem.

If I read correctly you are arriving at 1:00 am. If so why would you think you would compete for space with comuters. Bit odd what? I think you are just palaying around, but then again, a jokes a joke.

If I missed the 1 AM, the answer is far easier. You can't take the tube, it isn't running at that time...you can take a bus' if you go to the tfl web site then is a travel planner there...

But then why the "Terminal"? I read it as Terminal 1 @ some unknown time in the morning.

I also need to go from Bayswater to Euston. Does the Circle Line go directly (clockwise on Tube map) to Euston Square and walk from there?

OR is it better to:

1) From Queensway take the Central Line

2) Change lines at Oxford Circus to the Victoria Line

3) Leave the train at Euston

If you take the Circle you'd have to change at Edgware Rd. Either route is about the same difference. Or you could take bus 390:
