Heathrow Terminal 5 to Hilton Tower Bridge?
 

Hello, DH and I are arriving at Heathrow Terminal 5 on a Saturday morning at about 7 a.m. What would be the best way to get to the Hilton Tower Bridge from there? Last time we took a taxi and it ran us about 60 GBP. Are there any less expensive options? It doesn't seem like public transport is the way to go, based on the TfL website.

your two best modes would probably be:

1) a pre-booked car service like justairports.com Much less expensive than a cab

2) Piccadilly Tube line from LHR to Green Park, transfer to a Jubilee line train to London Bridge and walk about 300 yards to your hotel. (or you can take a cab the short distance to the hotel)

Piccadilly Line Tube to either Barons Court or Hammersmith, walk a few feet to the adjacent platform, then District Line Tube to Westminster, take the elevators to the Jubilee Line, then Jubilee Line Tube to London Bridge. Then walk about seven hundred feet to the hotel -

Don't know why you don't think the TfL website doesn't tell you especially as the hotel is near a Tube & train station

If you take the Green Park route then to avoid stairs and a long walk, take the escalator to the exit from the station but instead of going through the exit barriers take another set of escalators down to the Jubilee Line.

alanRow's route via Hammersmith is what I would probably personally take. The reason I recommended the Green Park option was it is one less line change and might be less complicated in a jet lag fog. Sometimes keeping a 3-tube-line journey straight in one's mind takes a couple of days of acclimating. But the transfer at Hammersmith is very easy.

But if you ARE that groggy/jet lagged -- just makes a car service that much nicer.

Helicopter. That's because your hotel is completely on the other side of central London from the airport.

But Janis' first option should work. It'll probably run you about 35-45 gbp.
