Heathrow question
 

We are flying out of Heathrow to Paris (yes, I know we should have done Eurostar) on a 10:45 flight. How early would you recommend we leave our hotel near Convent Garden? I had planned on taking a rental car, but I am concerned about traffic. We are flying out on Monday the 31st of May and I think that is a holiday. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Get on Underground at Covent Garden, get off at Heathrow....45-50 minutes....

You were thinking of renting a car to go to Heathrow? Hopefully you meant either a taxi or car service. If me I would head out by 8:00.

In the UK a hire car is one you drive yourself.

Provided you haven't got lots of luggage you could easily take the Tube.

Either a car service or the tube would work fine. I wouldn't worry about traffic at all. At 0700 or 0800 on a bank holiday Monday there won't be many folks on the road. Locals won't be headed home from the long weekend until later in the day . . . .
