Heathrow Question

We will be arriving at Heathrow and my question concerns how much time to allow to get of the plane, pick up our luggage, and go through customs? We want to purchase open jaw coach tickets for travel from the airport to Bath, then from Cheltenham to London ahead of time because we will have reserved seating and save a bit of money by buying them in advance. Please give me an idea of how much time to allow. I am familar with Gatwick but this will be my first time flying into Heathrow which I understand is a bigger airport. Thanks!

It depends on what time you arrive/which terminal (usually worse first thing in the morning at Terminals 3+4) and whether you have an EU passport (going immigration will be much quicker). I would say allow 2 hours max.

I would say 90 minutes maximum, and more likely 60 minutes. I am a Brit and therefore pass thru immigration rather more quickly than non-British/European Union passport holders, but still <BR>it should not take over an hour.

Immigration is your main holdup, lines can be very long. The previous advise of 1.5 to 2 hours would be good. Remember you have to check in for you Bath leg, so 2 hours sounds good.

Thanks very much for the helpful advice,we will now plan on allowing a couple of hours to be on the safe side and appreciate the prompt response to this question.
