Heathrow Hotel

We have a one night stop-over on our way from Portugal to U.S. Need a reasonably priced Heathrow Airport hotel with easy access to transportation from British Air and also from hotel into London. We want to check into hotel, take tube into London for the day and then return to hotel for a next morning flight. We have about 22 hours and figured we would try for dinner and a show in London. Any Healthrow hotel recommendations???

Jurys Inn is a block away from Hatton Cross. Hatton Cross is the first tube stop as you exit Heathrow towards London. You can then drop you luggage and get back on the tube to get into London.

The hotel has a restaurant although there are not other shops in the area.

I booked it through British Air.

I second the Jury's Inn as a choice for a conveniently located, moderately priced hotel near Heathrow.

How early is your flight the next day? It also would be feasible for you to stay, for example, near Paddington Station since you can get to or from Heathrow on the Paddington Express train in about 20-25 minutes. It will be more expensive to take the train (than to take the tube), but hotel prices might be a little lower - and you'll have more flexibility to stay out late in London. There are two Hiltons near Paddington. The Hilton Paddington is attached to the station, and the Hilton Metropole is a short walk away.

If you want to stay at Heathrow, you can probably win a hotel on Priceline for a very reasonable rate. We have done so several times. Check www.biddingfortravel.com to see what bids people have been winning recently.

Why pay for the Jury's when you can get a four star, full service hotel on the hoppa route for less?

I agree w/ travelgirl. Use Priceline.
