I have sent two e-mails to justairports.com and have not received a reply. Someone else here stated same problem. Did it work out?
Rates are excellent, but I am concerned about reliability. I'm leaving in two weeks.

I didn't book online but called them 2 days prior to arrival. They gave me confirmation #'s over the phone for both my pickup/return and were on time. If it gets closer to departure, you may just want to phone.

When in doubt definitely phone them . . .

They may have not received your e-mail(s) -- OR -- you may not receive their's. A quick phone call will easily clear things up.

I used their online booking service to reserve a car for next week.I received my reply within 48 hours with a confirmatin #. They quoted a price £24 to go from E1 to LHR.

Lovejoy Mar 17th, 2004 12:07 PM

As a follow up to my last post about JustAirports. The driver arrived on the scheduled time and got us to LHR in 55 minutes with the price of £24 charged as agreed.

I have seen quotes from 25 GBP to 54 GBP on this thread. Yes, I know it is convienent and comfortable using a chauffeur service. But you pay for convience and comfort. I can get to the suburbs from Heathrow for 3 GBP on the Tube and even less by bus.

Can anyone give me the web site for Swiss Cottage Cars? Patrick?

mclaurie Mar 18th, 2004 09:43 AM

swisscottagecars.com

mclaurie,

Thanks!

I would strongly suggest if you want to use Swiss Cottage Cars, to call them instead of booking on their website. According to recent users, it will be a lot less expensive that way!
I dial 101-6400-011-44-207-431-2700. Just be prepared with your flight number and arrival time, and actual address of where you are going. They will confirm an actual price.

I just got a quote for 55 GBP from heathrow to central london for 5 people from swiss cottage with 1/2 hour wait. If it goes longer it is 12GBP per hour wait. Does that sound reasonable???

I just booked a round trip with JusAirports.com (booked on-line). 53GBP cash (66 if credit card, so good saving for cash). I booked an Estate car for family of 4. I literally just booked, so I haven't recieved any confirmation yet. There prices seem very reasonable as compared to a regular taxi or other services.

I used justairports two weeks ago to go from Heathrow to my hotel in London and back again. Good service, price was right. We had some confusion upon arrival and our driver had to wait a very long time. He was helpful in bringing us to a different terminal to find our luggage, and he charged a very reasonable waiting rate. I believe their included waiting time at the airport was also longer than other services I checked.

I had originally thought we might take the Heathrow Express to the airport, since our hotel was not far from Paddington, but the cost ended up being significantly higher than justairports. The hotel offered to arrange a driver for 35 GBP, which was also much higher than justairports.

I didn't book round trip at first because I didn't know what other plans we might make to return to the airport and their round trip rates were no less expensive than their one way rate doubled. When I called from London to book the return trip, I was quoted a slightly lower rate (19 GBP) than I had seen on line.

Use Aircars2000.com, I always do.

40GBP cash for LHR, and 60GBP cash for LGW. One-way in a Mercedes, excellent service.

MFNYC Mar 26th, 2004 07:50 AM

How much to tip JustAirports? 15%?

MFNYC Mar 26th, 2004 07:57 AM

Another questio about jJustAirports? Since I opted for a round trip paid with cash, do they take 1/2 on the 1st leg and the balance on the 2nd? Or the entire amount up front or at the return? I just want to make sure we have enough GBPs on hand when we arrive.

Bobbie737 Mar 26th, 2004 08:29 AM

We will need car service from Heathrow to the Victoria Comfort Inn (right near Victoria tran station - can anyone tell me what Zone number this is? Thanks

MFNYC Mar 26th, 2004 08:52 AM

Bobbie, if you have their address it's the beginning of what appears to be a zipcode, starting with a compass point (N, SW, etc.) following by 1 or 2 digits.

MFNYC Mar 26th, 2004 08:55 AM

From what I can tell, it's SW4 (complete address is on Tripadvisor.com)
