Heathcrow carry on limit?
Where can I find info addressing the exact limitations on carryon baggage for passenger flying into Heathcrow?
I heard it was a one bag limit. Is that correct? If so I need to know the dimensions. Like to be rule abiding.

You are now allowed 1 carry-on item and one small personal item going to Heathrow. Dimensions of the carry-on are airline-specific so check your airline's website.
If you are flying out of or transiting at Heathrow, the same applies. No more cramming the purse into the case to make one item. But you are strictly limited to the above items until you go thru security.

Let me say this again. Who cares what Heathrow's limit is if you are flying into Heathrow and your destination is Heathrow. It depends on your where you are flying from and which airline you are flying.

We flew in and out of Heathrow on March 19. On our flight from Heathrow to Madrid we each carried on a 22 inch roller board and matching small shoulder bag that we carried on top. I put my purse in the shoulder bag. There is a one bag limit plus one personal item, such as handbag, shoulder bag, computer bag.

I've also found at both Heathrow and Gatwick that the airline-specific measurements do not make much of a difference to the agents at security check points in these airports. I've been forced by agents outside of security/passport control to check bags that conform to AA's carry-on limits because my bag did not fit into the little carry-on bag frame. (It must "slide" in, not be stuffed in!)If the agents don't notice it, and you pass through security, then you have no problem from there.
I usually do strictly carry-on, and my carry-on luggage (including wheels and frame) fit the dimensions of most airlines. London is really the only place I have a problem departing from or connecting through with reference to carry-on luggage. Quite frankly, LHR has become miserable to travel through for reasons such as this.
