My husband had such severe altitude sickness at Jungfrau, he could not walk through the tunnel to the activities, barely made it back to the restaurant section, and I was also sickened with light-headedness (though not to the extent he was). Many of the others in our group had no major problems and enjoyed the sports and activities without problems. But, a fellow traveler told me she heard some young women in the bathroom throwing up from the altitude, so we weren't the only ones who became ill there. Hope it works out for you!

Ummm...I believe they went on the trip four years ago. But good info for those who look up altitude sickness.

Hi, this is an individual issue and probably also an age issue. I plan to take a baby aspirin before going up the mountains in Zermatt/Wengen. I did notice a shortness of breath on the Schilthorn in the past, so it is wise to be prepared and to check with MD. and to descend if one notices symptoms listed. Sue
