Very surprised! About two years ago, a woman named Dina began posting here about an extensive trip she and her husband took to Europe and Egypt. She mentioned she was from Seattle but nothing clicked until I saw photos of her from their trip on her website. Mon Dieu, I said to myself (I say things to myself in French) I've met that woman! We had met on a date in Seattle back in the spring of 1997, only to reconnect five years later here on Fodors. We met in person shortly thereafter when Dina organized a Pacific Northwest get-together and we've gotten together once or twice since then as well. Small world.

It just happened to me! I recognized a new poster's screenname as someone my husband works with. Sure enough!

I was pleased to meet Koshka while dining at Il Ritrovo in Florence, 2 weeks ago. I was talking to Marcus, owner/chef and I mentioned that I heard of the restaurant on the Fodor site, (thanks Ira), Koshka came over and introduced herself. It was great. We all really enjoyed the restaurant.
