Have you been to this London restaurant: Tom's Kitchen?

I'm looking for some nice but casual restaurants for a quick 3-day visit this summer.

Our family group will include a grandma and an 8-year-old. We've always enjoyed Rules restaurant but only ever been there in cold weather, and what's cozy and hearty in November might seem stuffy and heavy in July.

I saw the website for Tom's Kitchen(s), and they look appealing. It would be especially atmospheric to have dinner at Somerset House.

Any Fodorite opinions on this one?

I have been to Tom's Kitchen in Chelsea any number of times. One of my favorites in London. Highly recommend the cheeseburgers.

Apparently it is a favorite of Prince William as well.

Looks great. I may try it out when I go in May. Does anyone know are reservations needed or can I just walk in?

I frequent the Chelsea original (Kitchen, not his more formal restaurant around the corner) regularly. You'd be better off with a reservation as it does get crowded.

Thanks for the feedback, all. Looks like I'd better put it on the list.
