Have you been in this city?
Here are some of the facts. It is about 1,000 years old and has two cathedrals, both of then Anglican (Episcopalian) which were built about 700 years ago.The best houses cost over five million dollars but one with a big garden made over fifty million recently. The Duke of Wellington, who was born nearby, lived in this city in his youth-later he defeated Napoleon in the battle of Waterloo and became prime minister of Britain. His house is now a fine hotel,The Merrion. Two of the buildings in the city are the Royal College of Surgeons and Royal College of Physicians and were set up by Royal Charter hundreds of years ago. There is a memorial to the visit of Queen Victoria in the passenger harbor about 7 miles from the city center which was newly built recently after the original one was destroyed.President John F Kennedy visited the city a few months before his death and Pope John Paul came too. This city has the largest city park in Europe and a herd of deer has lived in it for over 300 years. You can visit the local museum and art gallery free of charge. Shaw,Yeats,Wilde and Joyce lived here once and Seamus Heaney lives there now. A popular site for tourists to visit is a pagan church/passage grave 30 miles away which is still in good shape over 4,000 years later. The city is in fact Dublin and it was ruled by Britain for 800 years until Ireland became independent in 1922.It is now the proud capital of Ireland and has millions of tourists visiting it every year.

I swear I haven't googled. I wonder if it's Spain. The Palacio Real in Madrid is supposed to be ten times as large, or so, as Buckingham Palace. But it was built from the start to hold government offices, and Buckingham Palace wasn't.
