Have you attended a candlelit concert at St Martin-in-the-Fields??
We're buying tickets before we go -- just a few questions....
*Where is the best area to sit?
*Are the lights turned up when you arrive?
*Is it fairly easy to find a black cab when leaving the church?

Thanks for any input!

We went two years ago.

There really isn't a bad seat (unless, I suppose you are sitting behind one of the wooden columns).

The lights are on when you arrive and they don't turn all the lights off during the performance.

Not sure about cabs after the performance. I think we walked back to our hotel. If not, the Charring Cross tube stop is just a few minutes away.

St martins is right at Trafalgar Square. it is only a short walk to Leicester Sq and Charing Cross tube stations. There are cabs everywhere - but the concerts get out just a little earlier than the nearby theatres so cabs can be hard to snag since thousands of folks will be out in the general Trafalgar Sq, Leicester Sq, Soho, Covent Garden areas.
