Daph, I haven't been there. But I was curious, so I typed "porto ecole" in the text box. Nearly 30 threads at least mention it.

Lesli-Thanks for reminding me. You're correct. Guess that I've make so many checks in the text box lately that I thought that I'd already done it for Porto Ercole [and Stefano].

Unfortunately, and rather surprisingly, unless a place is mentioned by Rick Steves some folks here don't want to be bothered :):):)

It is on my itinerary for Oct. A great location for a first or last destination when departing from FCO.
