Has anyone used zstay.com? Are they reputable?

Jump to last reply

I was looking through vrbo listings for my trip to the Amalfi coast and I came across a listing I liked. It does not appear to be out of whack in terms of price.

However, when I contacted the owner the reply I got was a very scripted reply to book the unit through zstay.com. Zstay appears to have a few thousand listings in Italy/France/England and also lists all of those on vrbo/homeaway.

Here is their page on HomeAway: http://www.homeaway.co.uk/pm/Zstay-607799w

Each time I ask a question the reply is very pushy in telling me to hurry up and book through zstay.com or it might get booked by someone else.

The unit is also listed on vrbo and homeaway. When I asked the owner if they could make it available to book through homeaway.com they said that, because their listings are on homeaway.com, zstay listings are covered by homeaway's guarantee. I called Homeaway and the CSR told me this is not true.

Lastly, the unit has 4 reviews on zStay (even though the website appears to be only a month old) and none on vrbo or homeaway.

Does anyone know anything about this company? I guess booking through their website isn't really any different than booking via private payment which most VRBO/Homeaway listings require, but it all just seems so shady.
