I have just dug my book out to look through again. I went early in June & only had trouble reserving at Sallyport in Kenmare. Instead I stayed at the Lodge...wonderful. I agree & disagree with what John said. Michelle does cover popular areas like most books but also some lesser known places & many as daytrips from more popular areas. We did not get to the northern places but I notice there are listings for Letterkeny, Dunfanaghy & Killybegs. I believe they are smaller towns. I think that places like Ballyganeen, Glenbegh, Enniskerry & Oughterrard are not exactly large cities. In some locations there are one or two acommodations listed but I count 4 in Killarney & Dingle, 3 in Knemare & Dublin. There are descriptions for plenty of things to see in Dublin and Belfast. With only a day and a half I was unable to see everything listed in Dublin.

I agree that this book is not for every person...but what one is? If you want a slick publication that lists everything in Ireland it is not for you. You would be better off finding another one. I had three different books and liked each one for different reasons. I think that Michelle's book is not for someone who has been to Ireland many times & preffers to visit obscure places or for young backpackers seeking hostels. They would be better with other books but I do not know which ones would fit the bill. I found the listed acommodations to be superior & exactly as described. The restaurants were very good. I liked the book because it is different than all the other ones out there. A personal type of book & I would recommend it.
