Has anyone used Lastminute.com to book rooms?
Greetings. Has anyone used Lastminute.com to reserve rooms? I sent a request early yesterday evening, but have not received a confirmation e-mail. Are they reliable? Our trip is this weekend in Rome so I'm getting a bit concerned that we'll be sleeping at the bus station. Thanks!

Have used occasionally in the past but their website is a complete mess (always has been), and sometimes offers that appear to be available turn out not to be, which can be a huge time-waster. Lastminute.com has its devotees, but I find hotels.com, booking.com, laterooms etc. much easier to use and more reliable.

i have used them once or twice, when they were advertising better rates than the competition, but I'm with Gordon in that I tend to use booking.com et al much more reliable and easier to use.
have you tried getting in touch with the hotel direct to ensure that they've got your booking? or looked to see if the same deal is available elsewhere? if it is, and you have free cancellation terms, just cancel and re-book! |
We booked a room at a hotel in York through Lastminute.com which was substantially - and quite inexplicably - much cheaper than the prices offered by other booking sites and by the hotel itself.
I worried that we might hit problems when checking in, but everything was fine. I would give it a day, and then contact Lastminute.com by phone. |
Thanks to everyone. I feel like a dork. It was Laterooms.com. That's what comes of using too many computers and sites. I'll repost with the correct name. Thanks again.
