Actually, the dollar vs. the pound has improved recently. It cost about $1.61 to buy a pound about a month ago, and now it's down to around $1.56-$1.57.

Hi Littlehouse - I haven't done this for Europe (I echo all the earlier comments that snacks are easy and cheap to buy in London) but we did bring a bunch of PowerBars to Japan - one of my coworkers is a picky eater, and sometimes you're just too pooped to scout out food. So it was nice to have just in case.

While in London, be sure to get a Flake bar (a chocolate bar) - Yummy!
