Has anyone taken a tour to Montenegro from Dubrovnik from a company other than Atlas?
DH and I are off to Croatia in November. We would very much like to see the Montenegro coast but Atlas only has a few tours in November and none that fit our schedule. We are picking up a car in Dubrovnik and heading immediately north. We will end that portion of our trip in Zagreb, where we will drop the car and fly back to Dubrovnik for the remainder of our trip. Because of this we don't really want to have to rent a car again. We are hoping that other companies have similar bus tours to Montenegro.
Another option I have read is to work out a deal with a taxi cab driver to take us to Montenegro. How does one go about doing this?
Thanks!
Tracy

I too am considering a tour, but may just rent a car for a day. Here's a website for a somewhat shorter (9:00-5:30) tour run by Hostel World by Dubrovnik Service Travel. I have no experience with these people. But it may be worth checking into.

Thank you both for your suggestions! I am going to look into them now.
We really want to go to Montenegro so if we can't find a tour bus, we will probably end up renting another car, which we really don't want to do but will if we have to.
Thanks again!

Here's another company that apparently does custom tours. I know nothing about them. Maybe someone else does.

I thought that Atlas was the way to go until the owner of my sobe offered to take us privately in her car. She said that the price will be "reasonable" & I have to trust her. So it looks like we're off to Montenegro on the last leg of our trip in September on a day & time that is more suitable for me than Atlas's schedule . I highly recommend asking the owner or manager of your sobe/hotel re same.

I just emailed the owner of the apt. where I will be staying in Dubrovnik and inquired about taking a day trip to Montenegro and he said his son works for Elite Travel and will arrange everything for me "do not worry".

Has anyone had any experience with Elite Travel. Their excursions sound really cool. Not sure about the prices.
