Has anyone stayed in the Loft Room at Palazzo Ravizza in Siena?
 

Having a terrible time deciding on a Siena hotel after reading so many negative comments on Trip Advisor. Must have AC and would like a quiet location - trying to stay under Euro 150. Any info on this room appreciated. Thanks.

Do not overlook the Santa Caterina, especially if you have a car.

My husband and I "splurged" an a room at the Palazzo Ravizza. Room # 4 was 180E/night in early July, which I think is high season.

It was on the expensive side, but it was an amazing room...the only one (I think) in that hotel that has a balcony that you can walk out and sit on, overlooking a beautiful garden and the Tuscan hills beyond.

Siena is pretty small so probably any hotel would be a convenient walk to to whatever you want to see and do in the city...and the city itself is marvelous, so you may not spend that long in whatever room you decide to get. But having said that, I just loved that room#4! I felt so pampered staying there.

I stayed in a loft room at Palazzo Ravizza last Sept. It was great. About 16 steps up from where you get off the elevator, if that matters to you. Make sure you request one with a garden view, which overlooks their garden and has wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside.

I stayed at the Fani Mignanelli this past March. Lovely rooms and staff. Location is right in the center, but it's high enough (has an elevator) that there's no noise other than the churchbells. Don't know if parking is available. Website says the rooms are air conditioned.

I believe that we stayed in the loft room (or "servants'quarters," as it seemed to me). It sounds like the room Susan P described. I wasn't impressed. The room was quite cold and very dark. We had half pension, and we didn't think the food was very good. I considered it too expensive as well.
