Has anyone stayed at these hotels?

We are planning a trip to Italy for our first wedding anniversary.......it is our first time abroad. We are working with a travel agent and she has suggested the following hotels: Hotel Siena in Rome, Tornabuoni Beacci in Florence and Hotel Sempoine in Milan. Does anyone have any knowledge about these places?

We have stayed several times at the Tornabuoni Beacci in Florence. It is a wonderful hotel on the top floors of a very old building on the Via Tornabuoni - a very central location. We love the staff and the rooftop terrace where you can have breakfast on a pleasant day. The rooms are relatively large and pleasant.

I've stayed at the Sempione in the past & wasn't very impressed. I was attending a travel fair & my usual hotel was booked up. The rooms were very sparsely furnished & you could hear everything the people in the next room were saying. i was also woken up at least 4 times during the night with people coming home late.
check out the Starhotel website they usualy have there 4 star hotels on offer for about €99.00 per room.

Hi Ib,

Is there a reason why you will be staying in Milan?

HI--hope you have a lovely trip--just for future reference, it is helpful in generating responses if there are more details in the heading--for example in this one, you could have added "in Italy." Not everyone will open a post if they are just scrolling down.
