Has anyone stayed at the Victory Services Club in recent years?

My husband and I (age 70) will be staying in London in September for 4-5 days. My husband is retired US Coast Guard. I recently stumbled on some information about the Victory Services Club in London and the prices seem very reasonable. I've searched the Fodor's forum, but it doesn't seem like anyone has mentioned it in quite a while. Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, what were your impressions? It seems like it's in a good location. Thanks in advance for your help.

I haven't stayed there (divorced my husband before had a chance to join ) but I have dined there as a guest and the food was surprisingly good and service was outstanding. The reviews on TA are overwhelmingly positive.

Thank you janisj and Heimdall for your responses. I think we'll give it a try!

Thank you, main1, for pointing out this possibility. Though I've been to London a number of times I'd never heard about it. I've bookmarked their website as an option for future trips.

If your husband is retired join a Space a forum. Many people talk about the Victory service club and like it.

Thank you Macross for your suggestion of the Space A forum--I'll check it out. MmePerdu, apparently there are several clubs in London for retired and active military. Victory Services Club has an option for active and retired NATO forces which works for us. There is also the Union Jack Club and the In and Out Club. There are probably others as well.
