Has anyone stayed at the Strathmore in Kensington, UK?

If so I would appreciate your comments, good or bad, regarding the accommodations, are the rooms too small, or nice sized? Also, what about the food in the hotel? I tried to use the search feature, but it wouldn't work. Thanks for your help!

Tiny room, well furnished, totally inadequate closet space (like 2 hangers worth), large north american style bathroom, excellent breakfasts, lovely comfortable library/lounge on main level where you can get tea, drinks after a hard days touristing.

Pretty typical of what one gets in London in its class/price range.

We have reservations at the Strathmore from Dec 26th to 31st so I can let you know when we get back. We have reserved a quad room there. One of the reasons we picked the Strathmore was because it is only a block or so from the Gloucester tube -- which could be important in cold or rainy weather with two kids. Please let me know if you hear of anything else about the Strathmore as I am curious about what people think of it.

We stayed at the Strathmore this summer and I agree with the first post on the rooms. (I found the hairdryer in the desk drawer.) But I wasn't impressed with the breakfast or the service. And it really is a little more than a block to the tube. It was also pretty noisy. We were there during the World Cup and didn't get much sleep one night.
