Has anyone stayed at Hotel Raffaello in Rome before?

Just wondering if anyone has any comments on the above referenced hotel?

We are staying closer to the Pantheon at Albergo del Senato during the tail end of our trip, so we would like to stay closer to the Colosseum/Forum for the first two nights we are in Rome and from reading reviews Hotel Raffaello seems to be a good choice?

The most famous guest for any Italian was Bettino Craxi. No Italian will ever forget the scenes seen on television of Craxi leaving the hotel to a hail of coins.

This hotel is the sister of the Albergo del Senato. I have not stayed there, but have stayed at the Senato.

Because I was so pleased with the Senato, I recommended the Raffaelo to a Tuscan friend residing in NYC, who leads small-group tours to Italy and who was seeking a hotel less pricey than the Senato for her charges. She was very happy with the hotel and it is now her go-to address in Rome.

It is easy to confuse it with the Hotel Raphael.

Sorry for the error on my part but to understand the mess Italy is in at the moment you have to understand the "conteibution" of Craxi. Who amongst other things was the sponsor of Berlusconi.
