Has anyone heard of a guest house/hotel in Venice, Ca'Bauta?

It is located in the Castello area. Is that area well situated?

No, it's not. It's a good 15-20 min. walk.

That's a great area to stay in! It's away from the tourist trodden San Marco and Rialto, but only a 10 minute walk to either. It's near the fondamenta vaporetto stop that goes quickly to Murano, Burano and Torcello. It's a neighborhood kind of area. And those rooms are huge by Venetian standards! I didn't see any prices, though. What are they quoting for a single or double and at what time of year?

There was a post here earlier this year by "diane mac". Don't know if she comes here anymore. It didn't have any real e-mail address.
