Has anyone gone to Les Cite des Sciences et de l'industrie in Paris? Would it be interesting to a 16 year old?

Yes, I've been a couple of times, but my kids were younger. It has a lot of hands-on exhibits. Last time I was there there was a fabulous "World Cup" robot competition going on. That would probably interest a 16-year-old, but in general I think it's geared toward younger kids. And to get much out of it, you'd need to understand French.

He might like the <b>Musee des Arts et Metiers</b>, which is chock-full of inventions, scientific instruments, commumication methods, the evolution of construction techniques...

I took my kids, 12 and 15 at the time, several years ago and they both enjoyed it. My son's the older and has a very strong science background.

The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie is worth it for adults, too.
