Has anyone ever used InItaly.com?
Has anyone ever used InItaly.com's recommendations for accomodations, day and walking trips, etc.?? I am interested, particularly, in a day trip they offer to Siena and San Gimignano for about $340 for two people (less if a bigger group). Thanks for any info.

You don't say where you are going from, maybe Florence? Seems $170.00 is a bit steep for a day trip. It really depends on how you value what they offer. Does it come with a minivan or car, private guide, and lunch. Then that probably is the going rate, but it seems rather expensive to me. We are doing a day trip from Venice (to the Dolomites) for $89 per person (including a lunch). I have only a little experience with In Italy (a California firm I believe). I tried to buy Palio tickets from them, but their offer was $100.00 more than what I eventually paid. I believe if you check previous postings on this forum there are local Italian guides that will cost a lot less. In Italy is just a middle man.

Somone suggested TAT which stays for tours around Tuscany, but I do not know their prices. There was also another guide recently (last 2 weeks) recommended who worked in Rome and Tuscany and had a web address

Based on many posters recommendations, I looked into Tours Around Tuscany as well as Christina's Tours (www.christinastour.com). For budget reasons, I chose Christina. Unfortunately, the trip was canceled, but she was quite kind about my cancellation for her trip. Tours Around Tuscany looks very good. Enjoy your vacation ... Florence is wonderful!
