Has anyone been to Goodwood Revival Weekend (classic sportscars) in England?

If so, any recommendations for lodging and dining in the area? Thanks.

Someone else had the same question a couple weeks ago...at that time the Marriott on the Goodwood estate was already full for the weekend, as were most places in Chichester.

You will probably have to stay farther out - look in areas within 20 miles of Chichester. Places like Midhurst, Worthing, Brighton, or Portsmouth or any of the villages in that circle. Anything in Chichester, Goodwood, Arundel, etc will likely be booked.

Haven't been to the event, but I would recommend staying at Dukes of Arundel. It's not too far to Goodwood and is a beautiful hotel in a quaint town.

The motorsport events at Goodwood are huge crowd pullers and consequently hotel accommodation in the surrounding area (and by that I mean up to 30 miles away) can be very stretched. AFAIK the Revival Weekend in September is not quite as busy as the Festival of Speed in July, but be prepared to book your tickets and accommodation early and travel some distance from where you are staying.
