What city is the Sheraton Park Towers located in???

curious2 Sep 27th, 2002 08:11 PM

I will never understand why people go to Europe and stay in American style hotels. Why go if you don't want to experience Europe? It isn't 3rd world after all.

Sheraton/Starwood and other "American" hotels operate local hotels...so you have the benefit of staying in an authentic foreign hotel, (some former palaces such as the Hotel Imperial run by Starwood in Vienna) and benefits from loyalty programs....

Totally agree with you Curious2. I can't understand why most of the people here insist on going to chain hotels like Hilton or Sheraton. There are such good hotels all over Europe with character and charm! And the way they compare the hotels in Europe to American standards.Another thing: they want to dress like Europeans but keep on staying in those hotels. Why?? Doesn't make sense.

To answer you 2, some people have frequent stay points for free hotels.Wouldn't you take a free room if you could get, no matter if it is American style or not?

Why are there such hateful people on this board? What could it POSSIBLY matter to Curious2 and 3 if somebody wants to stay in a Sheraton hotel?

It is a great place in a great location and you will experience London in true British style. Nice rooms and gracious service. It has been a few years since I have been there but I have a friend who stays there regularly.

So you will experience London in true British style. Will this mean that-:

a) The hotel staff will have bad teeth

b) The beef will not be safe to eat

c) The eggs will not be refridgerated and at risk of salmonella

d) The people will be rude and dislike Americans

e) There will be no air conditioning

f) The garden will be nice

Poor "Anon", all English people have bad teeth? the beef isn't safe?ever read about e-coli here? Air conditioning is seldom necessary. People are rude? --look in the mirror!
