Has any taken their Chariot Stroller to Europe (Italy) with them??

We are traveling to italy with our 10 month old daughter and want to take a sturdy stroller to handle the cobblestone streets and will be comfortable for our daughter to sleep in. Does anyone have any experience in traveling a Chariot stroller in Europe or more specifically in Italy??

What is a Chariot stroller?

We've taken strollers to Europe a couple times.

Is it one pulled by a team of horses? that sounds very exciting.

They're expensive jogging strollers and will be absolute hell to fold and stow on local buses if the OP uses any.

We took a decent size Graco stroller (where the baby/kid can sit up or lay down). It had double (4) front wheels with a little play/shock absorption. It had a basket to store stuff underneath, and could fold down flat.

It was a royal pain in most forms of transportation, but we walked so much the utility outweighed the occasional inconvenience.

I probably should just bite the bullet and go out and purchase a regular type of stroller. How did your Graco stroller hold up on Italian side walks??

We took our Peg Perego Pliko P3 to Germany last month; held up fine. Our five month old didn't mind the constant jiggling from the cobblestones.

Won't leave the stroller behind for any future trips, we used it every single day.

Not in Italy, but many other locations in Europe. The slightly shock absorbing double front wheels seemed to be particularly helpful. Yes, it was big but our kid could even sleep very soundly while we still walked around, and we could store all the kid stuff we needed in it (which you would otherwise need to carry around anyway).

You will have a struggle with public transport (except London Cabs!) and streets with narrow sidewalks.
