Has any one used specialfares.com
 

I wanted to book a room in portugal with them and they told me they don't accept credit card and I have to pay by check. I'm a little hesitant to send a check. Are they a reputable company? Has anyone booked hotel rooms using them? Thanks

It was my besat rent car experience ever. <BR> <BR>We also use them for a couple nights at Hotel Lisboa in Lisbon, very nice hotel and service. <BR>regards <BR>Miguel

I'd be very wary of any company, especially an internet company, which wants your cash and not your credit card. Too easy to set up false storefronts on the net.

well fortunely I had a good experience with them and they just ask for money upfront on hotels since that's not part of their busines. As a matter of fact for the car rental they take credit cards and we only paid upon arrival at the airport and not even a deposit was required, so I guess that answers <BR>Miguel
