Harry's Bar in Paris
Heard it's a great place for drinks. Any comments? Anyone been there? Thanks in advance.

I have been to Paris a few times but have never heard of Harry's Bar in Paris. However, I have been to Harry's Bar in Venice where you must have a Bellini. Supposedly, that it where the Bellini was invented.

I've been to Harry's bar in paris several times. It's just out from the Ritz Hotel, a couple streets. It's almost like a pub in England, most American looking bar that you'll see in Paris. It's part owner by an ex-pat. They patented the term "barfly".

The basement has live music. It's a fun bar, and by no means fancy.

We'll be in Paris in 8 days for our honeymoon. We're staying in an apartment for one month. Maybe we'll see you there.

You wouldn't be thinking of Harry's New York Bar at sank roo dahnoo, woudjah?

Its reputation is definitely overdone. There are so many much better bars in Paris, the capital of bistros!

Like Harry's Bar in Venice....over priced and a general rip off........but if you like to say youve been in the places to be seen...............

KYW:

Ah yes!!.. Harry's Bar in Paris. A bit of nostalgia.. It's fun, with a 1920's-30's feel to the place.. Although, you'll pay 80 FF for a mint julip. (yes, I know it's dumb but that's what the little lady wanted to drink at the time). The have a piano bar downstairs which is good also.. It's OK..but a not a "must go to" bar

Yes, I've been there a few times. It is at 5 Rue Danou or sank roo dahnoo just off of Rue Vendome going towards the Opera Garnier from Place Vendome. I liked the place. It is like an English pub and drinking beer is much less expensive than mixed drinks.
