Happy Thanksgiving

To all,
Those cooking tonight, those leaving, those just laying back, those: just who cares, those just know that a day off is a luxury for you still working.
Happy holidays, a retired mimi

Happy Turkey Day to you too, Mimi. Most of us have so much to be thankful for. Personally, I prefer Thanksgiving to X-mas.

Ah, Mimi, one day I shall be a retired Croque!

Until then, you fully enjoy each and every day of the leisure you've earned. Set a good example for the rest of us, so that when we retire we, too, will

As I'm sure a lot of expats are doing, I'm sitting here at work wishing I were home with a turkey in the oven and homemade rolls rising on top of the fridge, not to mention the aroma of wonderful smells coming from my stove.

I wish all of my Fodorite friends a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. May you all have a great day and fabulous feasts. We all have much to be thankful for. Enjoy.

I actually have to work today but I logged on knowing I could count on seeing a Happy Thanksgiving wish !

Beatle Nov 25th, 2004 05:17 AM

Thanksgiving is the best. Laid back, less commercialism, less stress, much eating. Whoever gains the most weight wins. Hope everyone has a great day!

kswl Nov 25th, 2004 05:38 AM

I stayed up very late last night making cornbread/apple/sausage dressing to use to stuff the bird with this morning, rolls, sweet potato souffle (all except the egg whites, which will go in today just before cooking), peeled potatoes and marinated the green beans.

As I was making this unaccustomed huge meal, I gave thanks for the unbelievable abundance of our lives, and a prayer for those around the world going hungry today.
