flats in central london

I'll be in London in August for 7 to 10 days traveling with two friends. We would love to get an apartment. I remember reading recently about a recommendation several people had but can't find the posting. I've been on line and it's confusing and quite frankly there appears to be a lot of junk. We want some place attractive, comfortable and safe. Also, we want to deal with a reputable agency. Can someone provide a couple of names?

There are TONS of threads on here w/ links to agencies in London. What is your budget? (w/o knowing how much you want to spend it is hard to recommend agencies/properties)

For all budgets all over London, try the one I've used for several years. If you're in the US, the rates are in USD & include VAT.

I'm realistic. I'm prepared to spend between $2000 and $3000 per week. I really don't want a sterile hotel feel.

Farnum and Christ (http://www.farnum-christ.com/) -- extremely reputable and we were THRILLED with the flat upon arrival -- far exceded our expectations. We (me and 2 girlfriends) stayed in the Pembridge Crescent Flat in Notting Hill. I'm happy to answer any questions!

For an up-market-ish budget like that I'd also recommend Farnum& Christ. I usually stay in less expensive properties but have had occasion to contact them a couple of times (checking out info for others) and they have been more than helpful . . . .

I too highly recommend Farnum and Christ for upper end flats. I've rented the same one for about 9 years now from them and love it. I'd suggest it but it is NOT air-conditioned, which might be a problem in August.

Go look at www.slowtrav.com. It has reviews of rentals as well as rental agencies.

My husband and I used Farnum and Christ two years ago. We stayed in their 1 bedroom located in Sloane Gardens. Great experience! We plan on using their agency again in the future.

Coach House London is an excellent agency: www.chlondon.org. They have many choices all around the city each with pictures to see what you are getting. They give good service to help you get settled.

Bernieken: You topped a two year old thread -- accidental, or on purpose to promote that website?
