Handicap Parking
Is a US issued handicap parking sign (hanging from the rear view mirror) valid in EU countries? Does it exempt one from parking fees? I will be driving in Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany.

There have been several threads about using US-issued handicap hang tags in Europe. Technically I suppose you do need a "official" placard from the EU country. But in practice, several people have reported being able to use their US placards. Do a search (use the advanced search function) and you'll find some good info . . . . |

Since 1997, handicap placards issued in the US (among other countries) are recognized in each and every EU member state:
