hampton court - cruise? (London)

Hi

could someone help me please?

I will go to London Monday for 10 days.

Can I take a river cruise to Hampton court this time of year? do you think I should allow a whole day for it?

thanks

Amber

In fine weather it is best to take the train to Hampton Court and the boat back to London. (The trip up river take a lot longer than the trip downstream due to the current and tides).

But in March it is not likely to be warm enough to enjoy the trip. It takes over 3 hours and can be VERY cold at this time of year.

Not sure about this time of year (we took the cruise in July). We made the big mistake of taking the cruise, which took much longer than we'd been told, & arrived with little over an hour to see everything before it closed. (Very frustrating!) We took a train back. (We should have reversed it: train, which was so easy, to Hampton Court - return by relaxing river cruise.
