There was never a US ban on haggis. Just on haggis imports from Britain.

Surely someone in the US would have had the enterprise to make it themselves? There must be more people of Scots descent in the US than in Scotland, and there's no special skill or exotic ingredient needed.

Just a sheep's stomach, oatmeal, sheep's pluck and a few pounds of white pepper.

Amazed the Chinese (who've got more sheep than anyone else) haven't started making them. After all, Taiwanese whisky's just beaten Ecotch in taste tests (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle7000931.ece)

Ecotch isn't a joke about Ecoli. It's "Scotch" typed by someone having a Fat Finger day

Speaking of haggis, today is Burns Night in the UK (and celebrated around the world in Scottish venues). There will be plenty of haggis eaten all over the world this evening. http://www.visitingeu.com/western-eu...edinburgh.html

I was at a Burns supper on Saturday night.I "accidently" got the vegitarian haggis and it was suprisingly good.
Flanneruk,I have never tried the Tiawanese whisky but had Indian malt whisky at a festival last year and it was excellent.
