My husband is now entertaining me with photos of houses he likes in Braga and Guimaraes for our fall house hunting adventure! We too love the Minho!

Hi! Did you end up staying in Guimaraes? I am considering it for a couple weeks after 2-3 weeks in Lisbon. Would love to hear what you thought.

We loved our stay in Guimares many years ago. We stayed in the former Pousada in the downtown area which was perfect for us. Glad to learn it still exists but in a newer rendition. It is one of our favorite small cities in Portugal. The whole Minho area is wonderful to explore. After we visited the Minho, we crossed the border to Galicia , Spain, another favorite area.
