Guide in Slovenia

Does anyone have a recommendation for a guide in Slovenia. We will be taking the train from Venice and staying in Ljubljana for 4 nights in early June. It looks like Bled is easy to get to on a bus but other places seem harder to get good bus connections. Suggestions? Thanks, Jeri Lu

Where are you staying? Most of the better hotels have tours to Postojna and other sites.

SloJan: We are staying at the Hotel Emonec which seems to be a good location and a very reasonable hotel. They have tours to Postojna and Lipica. We were thinking of trying to get to a beach town and have been looking at a site posted for a private guide named David/ It looks like a train to Lake Bled is pretty easy but getting over to the beaches don't seem too easy. Thanks, Jeri Lu

Piran is probably your best bet. Are you adverse to renting a car while you are here. The driving is very easy and it is well marked. It is a 45 minute trip...unless you are stuck in traffic.

I will dig around and see what else I can find.

Cheers,
Jan
