guide in Normandy

We will be in the Normandy area next summer. Would like to hire a private guide for 3 day tour. Any suggestions?

Colonel Chilcott is well reviewed on this site - search under "Chilcott" and you'll see several postings regarding his Normandy tours.

Another vote for Col Chilcott. We used him two years ago for a full day tour of Omaha Beach and surrounding area and wished we could have stayed another day to see Utah Beach area with him. You will find postings on him on this site along with his email address. He runs a B&B which we stayed in for two nights and would recommend this as well.

I just got back from touring with Normandy beaches with my parents, in their 70's, dad WWII vet...We booked our tour with Victory Tours, http://www.lignerolles.homestead.com/
Stayed in their chateau B&B in the French countryside, Chateau de Lignerolles, and took a private, full day tour in his van. It was wonderful! Can't say enough about it. This is my second time on their tour and I've sent other people to them with rave reviews! He speaks English and other languages fluently, gives a very informative tour and takes you places that commercial tour companies don't go. Check out the web site. I wouldn't go on one of the big bus tours.
