Guggenheim Museum

Has anyone bought a ticket for the Guggenheim in Bilbao online?

I have searched several sites and found only one if you have a group. I am travelling alone.

Thanks. Sharon

Hi Sharon,
it cannot be done, sorry. The only thing that you could do to have it on advance, is to go to a Teleka (an special ATM from a basque bank, the BBK) and buy your ticket there. There are quite a few around the city, for example at the Plaza Circular or Plaza de España.
Anyway, if you are not visiting on a weekend, you shouldn´t have a big queue buying it at the museum.
Remember that it is closed on Mondays.

Kind regards,
Cova

cova:
Is this special ATM only located in Bilbao or would I be able to purchase at this bank in other cities? I'll be spending 2 days in San Sebastian before I visit Bilbao and it would be great to be able to pick up the tickets in San Sebastian.

Hi Sharon:
Is it really necessary to pre-buy them?
I honestly don't believe there would be such a long queue anyway!
Regards
Jade

Hi Sharon,
only in Bilbao and Vizcaya (the province). But as I told you, unless it is a weekend (and only special ones), you won´t have problems at the ticket offices in the museum.

Regards, Cova

Cova: Thanks so much for the info on the museum tickets. I had just read that there were long lines to get in and if you had a ticket you could avoid that. I don't have a lot of time.

I will be there on a Friday.
