Guest Apartment Services in Paris for flat rental, anyone used them???

I am considering a couple flats from www.guestapartment.fr and I can't find much feedback on here about them. I found one thread with one response from 2007. Has anyone used this agency? Has anyone stayed in either of these flats? They look nice enough, but it kind of scares me to book with an agency that I can't find much info on. A few years back we used www.parisaddress.com and they were great, albeit a bit cold and unhelpful when we actually arrived, however, we had no issues with the flat, in fact we love it, that will be my fall back.

These are the flats I'm considering...

Any input would be appreciated!

I've used them as have several others on this forum; perhaps it was my response you saw on that old thread. They're incredibly professional. The apartment was beautiful. We didn't really need much help, and they're French so they're not intrusive, but they were very helpful when we thought we had lost our mother (she was napping and din't pick up her phone!), and made a few reservations for us. We also used their car service. I give them very high marks.

"didn't"

Sorry, but I haven't seen those particular apartments. We stayed in Gardenia.

I can highly reccommend them We have stayed in HISBICUS and really loved it. It's a large studio so it doesn't have a separate bedroom, but the main room is HUGE with a fantastic tall, beamed ceiling. We much preferred it to others we've had with a nice living room and then a tiny, closed-in bedroom. The kitchen was a separate room.

Phillipe(French) and Tom(from St. Louis) will do anything to help during your stay. Their office is right on Ile St. Louis, so convenient to your apt. We have used their pick up service. It's pricy, but it was nice to have their driver get the key and take you up to your apt. They will help with any reservations you might want---this was a huge help as our French isn't that good. Another example: we had a problem with the TV and they were there promptly to fix it.

We would definitely use their service again. On subsequent trips to Paris we wanted to stay with them, but it was late and they were booked up.

This outfit gets very good reviews here - I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them. I did work with them briefly a few weeks ago, but alas, they didn't have anything suitable for my timeframe, as I got started way too late. Having said that, working with the gentleman who runs the place couldn't have been more pleasant. I look forward to renting from them another time because so many fodorites swear by them.

We were leery of leaving the familiarity of the hotel environment, where there is at least a front desk clerk to whom to address potential problems. We tried Guest Apartment Services upon recommendation of friends, we rented through that company a year ago, plan to return next year. After such a favorable experience, we would not consider a hotel. Guest Apartment Services is first-rate. We did have a couple of inquiries during our stay, emailed Phillippe, and got a very prompt, entirely satisfactory reply. I second the above post, too, paying extra for the driver is worth considering, esp after arriving at CDG jet lagged. Having the assurance of getting back to the airport for timely departure is also an important consideration - we have twice left Paris on the eve of transportation strikes.

I had an absolutely professional experience with them. Everything was as advertised, and the apartment I rented (which is no longer on offer) was prettier than pictured, with nice touches everywhere. Whole place was spotless. When I arrived they gave me lots of well-organized information about good places to shop nearby, and although I only once stopped by their nearby office to ask a question, they were there (as promised) and I watched them smilingly help other people who were being extremely demanding when it came to concierge services (wanted last-minute concert tickets, babysitting, restaurant reservations -- the whole nine yards). In addition, I broke a small object while I was there and when I tried to pay for it, they waved it away. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and the location in the center of Paris is just a huge plus if you are going there for art rather than shopping. Also, it is very quiet.

If you stay on the ile, the hot chocolate an Cafe Le Flore en Ile is for me the best in Paris.

Note: This thread is nearly a year old.

oops -- didn't mean to click 'submit'

Not that the info isn't still relevant -- but it was topped by a first timer who had to search for Guest Apartment Services to even find this thread to post his glowing review . . .

How timely. My mom is renting an apartment from them next spring--we just wrapped up the details last week. I will be visiting her for a few days during her stay.

Ohiotraveller, which apartment did you rent? You should post your review on the Paris apartments thread.
