Sorry I'll miss you Swandav.

Traviata Nov 17th, 2018 01:09 AM

We'll be here for the rest of November and would very much like to meet.........when and where???

Great ! For location, I am very flexible. Would you prefer a lunch or midday drink type thing or an evening meet up? What about 22nd Nov or any day thereafter that works for you.

Seamus Nov 18th, 2018 12:56 AM

Plan to be in Paris 28 Dec - 3 Jan. Could meet up between those dates.

1994 Nov 18th, 2018 10:03 AM

Hi Seamus. Happy to meet. Is there a day / time / place that works best for you?

1994 Nov 18th, 2018 02:58 PM

Traviata - I am not having much luck using the messaging system. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but keep getting error messages. I won't have internet access much of tomorrow (19 Nov.) so I'm posting here in the event that none of my attempts to reply to you have worked. I'm in, please include me.

Seamus Nov 18th, 2018 08:17 PM

We're on a rather loose itinerary as this was a fairly last minute decision. Only thing fixed is a visit to Chartres at some point. We will be staying on Blvd St Jacques between metro stations St Jacques and Glaciere. Feel free to suggest some options!

1994 Nov 19th, 2018 06:38 AM

Thanks Traviata. Got your message.

Seamus - I'm also very flexible. It is just me, so I can set my own pace. The only thing I'd add about me is that I'm pretty casual. So, I'm more comfortable with something simple. I will be coming from a suburb on the RER A line. If there is a particular place you've wanted to try, I'm game. Sounds like you'll be in the 13eme. I don't really know that area well. If there is a place there that you like, I can easily travel there. I will not have easy access to the Internet today, so I might not be able to get back to the thread until tomorrow.

My husband Keith and I will be in Paris from Dec 4-9.

On Thursday, December 6, Keith is driving the Countess De Billy to her eye doctor and I was going to wander around the Marais by myself. I could meet you for a lunch or glass of wine if you would like.

Most people here wouldn't want to sit with me, however, because I am savage! 🤣🤣

You can decline. 🏥🚑

Sounds intriguing Pepper. Would love to meet for a drink while you are out and about on the 6th. You can name the place and time if you like.

kerouac Nov 19th, 2018 08:10 AM

Who could possibly not want to get a snoot full? Even I am intrigued by the idea of a glass of wine somewhere, and everybody knows that Kerouac does not socialize.

Pepper_von_snoot Nov 19th, 2018 07:46 PM

Well, you are more than welcome to join in, Kerouac.

Kerouac does not socialize
Thatīs ridiculous. Everyone knows that Kerouac is a party animal.

thibaut Nov 20th, 2018 04:41 AM

I am actually in Paris on the 6th and trying to leave a meeting early. Probability is about 20% I can join, but if I can escape at normal time, I'd gladly have a glass with you, please give more detailed info, I would come from La Defense towards Gare du Nord, so a stop in le Marais is quite feasible.

1994 Nov 20th, 2018 05:16 AM

Yes Pepper, where shall we meet? And Thibaut, I too would be coming from the same general area as you.

kerouac Nov 20th, 2018 06:02 AM

Uh-oh, turning into a mob scene. I don't think Pepper is the type to order a pitcher of beer for everyone.

thibaut Nov 20th, 2018 06:27 AM

I'll settle for Champagne then. Vuiton bags react better to champagne drops than beer drops.

Pepper_von_snoot Nov 20th, 2018 05:56 PM

Would you be taking Line 1 Metro from Defense to get to the Marais? I was thinking somewhere near Place des Voges. St. Paul stop is right there.

Tell me what you think and best time for gtg.
