Grosseto to Siena Driving Time

We are getting free use of a villa for two weeks this August. We were told that the villa was in Siena and planned accordingly. Now, we've just been informed that the villa is in Paganico just outside of Grosseto. How long is the driving time between Grosseto and Siena? One of my guidebooks doesn't mention Grosseto and the other doesn't think too much of it. Will we be going out to dinner in Grosseto or driving to Siena? Will we still be able to do day trips to the Chianti area? The road distances aren't that great but I'm worried about traffic and winding roads. I'm just trying to get my bearings as we leave in one week! Thanks!

Actually Paganico is well north of Grosetto on the road to Siena--I would estimate about :30 to Siena. Access to Chianti will not be easy, but the best part of Tuscany is due east of you in the Val d'Orcia. Get a good map and spend your time in south Tuscany. The more your read the better you will like it. Go to slowtrav.com for some great info for trips in the area.
